In their 3-0 defeat of Colombia Sunday evening, where the USWNT netted three first-half goals, the two sides clashed from the opening whistle onward. Each team was handed two yellow cards within the first 20 minutes and the contested match quickly became one-sided. However, USWNT veteran Alex Morgan and youthful winger Trinity Rodman were the two at the center of the aggression on the pitch for the USA on Sunday.

Overall, though, Rodman was the figure at the center of the match through the first 45 minutes. Not only did she assist Jaedyn Shaw's goal – their third of the match – she was the individual who played instigator, protagonist and antagonist on the pitch.
She defended Morgan when three Colombian players confronted her, getting in their faces and pushing them away, while also announcing her presence in two other occasions. Notably, she confronted a Colombia player who was pressuring her during stoppage in the match, yelling "Back the F*CK up" at her.
